What Do Career Services At William Penn Have To Offer Graduating Seniors?

With an upcoming graduation on May 12th, 2012, many soon-to-be graduates of William Penn University are currently or will soon be starting the long-awaited job search that follows. For some it may be scary but for others it may already be over with. Either way, it is nice to know that the Career Services offered by William Penn University will still be available to help those who have graduated to try to find the right job.

“Any of the services that we provide now, Seniors are welcome to access once they are an alumni,” said Debbie Stevens, Coordinator of Career Services, “We want our alumni to know that you can come back a year from now, five years from now, or even ten years from now and get help from our services.”

Career Services at William Penn University are also always encouraging students to utilize the tools they offer as soon as possible, even as freshman. Professor Stevens can help students figure out what career would be right for them through career interest surveys, which can help students figure out their major if they hadn’t yet by that point. She also offers other things to help fine tune interviewing skills like resume writing and even setting up mock interviews.

With the current economic downturn that our country has gone through it gets harder and harder for people to find jobs, even with a degree under their belt. William Penn’s Career Services is there to help those who are looking for a job for the first time or even those who have been laid off and are considering a new career path.

“It is nice to know that no matter what, even if I never need to use the services provided by William Penn to find a job, they are there for me if I do need it,” commented Tara McGuffin, a graduating senior at William Penn University, “It’s comforting to know I will always have somewhere to go if I have any questions regarding a job search.”
