Holidays are in Season

 By: Helene Larsen

Slowly but surely we are approaching the favorite holiday of gorging on food and family fun: Thanksgiving. And while many will be headed home for the holiday to spend some quality time with family, some students – including internationals –  may be spending their Thanksgiving break in Oskaloosa. Even for those going home, the last few days before break offer plenty of fun too. Whether it’s sporting events or something completely different that draws the attention, there won’t be a shortage of things to do.

On November 22 the basketball teams are back in action.

At 5:30 PM its women’s basketball against Grand View. If there ever is an occasion to make some noise and support this is it. Come out, show school spirit, and help show Grand View what it means to be WPU.

Provided the girls finish on time, the men’s basketball team will be taking to the court at 7:30 PM. If you are in town over the holidays and have some toilet paper to spare, bring it on over to the gym to have a blast with the basketball team and your William Penn family.

November 29

On the 29, Clearly U Crystals is visiting campus for a PASS sponsored event. Come by the Union and have some fun getting your photo etched into a crystal for a fun memento. This will be happening at 11 AM-5 PM, so there’s plenty of time to take advantage of the great opportunity.
